NOX padel rackets: AT10, Equation and the right place to start

Choose a NOX racket by its exact construction and the contact you prefer. X-Hero is our lower-weight starting point for new players. Equation Soft suits improving players who want softer contact. AT10 Genius 18K Alum is the more demanding option for an experienced game across the court; AT10 Genius Attack 18K Alum changes that proposition with a diamond head.

Those last two names are easy to confuse. The 2026 standard AT10 18K is a teardrop racket. The 2026 Attack is a diamond. The year and the word Attack both matter when comparing an offer.

First NOX at a lower weight

NOX X-Hero White 2026 padel racket

NOX X-Hero (2026)

X-Hero White has a round head, carbon frame, three-layer fibreglass face and HR3 White EVA. NOX specifies 350–360 g and a soft feel. It is our starting choice for beginners and improving adults who want to keep the nominal weight below the 360–375 g range used by several other NOX models.

The face is fibreglass even though the frame is carbon. That distinction matters when a shop highlights the word carbon in a short product title. Compare the finished racket in your hand, including the grip you intend to use. The tradeoff is its softer contact; a player specifically seeking firm feedback should look further down the range.

NOX Equation Soft Advanced (2026) product photograph supplied by the retailer

NOX Equation Soft Advanced (2026)

The Equation Soft combines a round head, medium balance and HR3 Soft EVA with a Fiber Glass 3K face. Its specified range is 360–375 g. It is the Equation to investigate if you want a softer response and are comfortable with that weight.

Advanced is part of the model name, not a requirement that every owner be an advanced player. NOX lists an intermediate audience. Our catalogue also recognises a beginner overlap, but X-Hero is the simpler starting comparison if lower weight is a priority. Do not buy the Soft expecting the feel of the Hard version.

NOX AT10 Genius 18K Alum 2026 padel racket

NOX AT10 Genius 18K Alum (2026)

This AT10 uses an 18K aluminised carbon face, MLD Black EVA and a teardrop head. NOX lists 360–375 g and an intermediate touch; that touch label describes feel rather than player level. The model belongs in an experienced player's shortlist.

The 2026 racket includes an adjustable counterweight system. Start with a setup you can prepare repeatedly before experimenting with extra weight. Its appeal here is a configurable option for players who already know what they want from their racket. It is an expensive and unnecessarily complicated starting point if you are still discovering your basic preferences.

NOX AT10 Genius Attack 18K Alum 2026 padel racket

NOX AT10 Genius Attack 18K Alum (2026)

The Attack version uses a diamond head with the 18K Alum face and MLD Black EVA construction. Its nominal weight range is also 360–375 g. Our researched profile places it with experienced players who prefer a higher balance for an attacking game.

Choose it because that handling suits you. A familiar signature and the word Attack do not establish that it will improve your overheads. Compare it directly with the standard teardrop AT10, paying attention to defensive preparation as well as your best attacking shots.

Compare NOX rackets

The comparison covers the researched adult models with verified retailer listings in our catalogue. It includes more than the four starting picks, so you can investigate a different feel, generation or budget.

Filter by player level before narrowing by shape or weight. A round racket can still have a firm, advanced profile. Equally, a soft racket can be relatively heavy. Open the product page when you need the full specification rather than trying to settle the decision from one label.

About NOX

Brothers Jesús and José Luís Ballvé founded NOX in 2009 through their Barcelona-based company, JJ Ballvé Sports. The business grew around padel and now sells rackets, shoes, clothing, bags and accessories for the sport.

Player partnerships explain two of the names you see throughout the range. Miguel Lamperti was one of the brand's early signings and became associated with the ML10 Pro Cup. NOX signed Agustín Tapia in 2017 and helped him move to Spain to train with Pablo Crosetti. Tapia's name now appears on the AT10 family.

NOX also became an official World Padel Tour racket partner in 2019 and extended that involvement to the WPT Challenger circuit in 2021. In 2023 it created the NOX Future Academy for player development. The following year it announced the NOX USPA Circuit with the United States Padel Association, including plans for rackets and bags designed for the circuit.

Understand the NOX names

X-Hero, X-Zero, X-One, X-Aura and X-Auro

These names appear among the recreational and improving-player options in our catalogue. Several share a round shape and soft feel, but the weight ranges are not identical.

X-Hero and the researched X-Zero Blue sit at 350–360 g. X-One, X-Aura and X-Auro are listed at 360–375 g. That difference is useful if the reason for replacing your racket is difficulty preparing it quickly. It does not prove that every example at the lower weight will suit you better.

Keep the full name and colour in view at checkout. X-Aura and X-Auro are separate catalogue products. A similar spelling is not enough to substitute one offer for the other, and a photograph alone can be misleading.

Equation Soft and Equation Hard

This is a direct choice of response within the Equation family. Soft uses HR3 Soft EVA and has a listed range of 360–375 g. Hard uses HR3 Hard EVA and is specified at 355–365 g. Both have a round head and a fibreglass face.

The Hard version is therefore not simply a heavier Equation. The weight ranges overlap, and the intended feel differs. Try it if you already prefer firmer contact and want a placement-focused option. Choose Soft if the softer response is the feature you are actually seeking.

If you liked an older Equation, check its exact generation before assuming that a 2026 version will reproduce it. Discussions online often shorten several products to Equation, leaving out the year and core that make the comparison useful.

AT10: check generation, material and Attack

AT10 is a family name, not one specification. The standard 2026 18K Alum discussed here is different from Attack, and neither should inherit the description of a 2025 product.

The 2026 standard model adds an adjustable weight system. That is a concrete feature to consider if you want to experiment with setup, but it does not make an older racket obsolete. Compare the exact versions, the condition of the racket and the total purchase you are comfortable making.

The number before K is also a poor buying shortcut. It identifies a fibre construction detail, not a universal comfort, power or quality score. Core, layup, balance and shape remain part of the decision. We do not rank a racket above another simply because its number is larger.

ML10 Ventus and VK10 Ventus

The researched ML10 Ventus Control 3K and VK10 Ventus Control 12K both have round heads, but our catalogue records different balance and feel profiles. ML10 uses HR3 Color EVA; VK10 uses MLD Black EVA.

They belong in a comparison for experienced players who prefer a round shape. Neither should be treated as the beginner choice solely because Control is in the name. They are also separate from the older ML10 Pro Cup products people may mention in reviews or club conversations.

Standard AT10 18K or AT10 Attack 18K?

Begin with the shape and handling you already enjoy. The standard model provides the teardrop option in this comparison. Attack provides the diamond, higher-balance route. Similar materials and nominal weight ranges do not make their handling identical.

During a demo, compare your ordinary defensive returns, lobs and blocked volleys before assessing overheads. If one racket repeatedly makes you late on the ball, that matters more than an occasional stronger shot. If you have no clear preference yet, there is no need to make the most attacking specification your default.

Equation Soft or X-Hero?

X-Hero is the first model to investigate when lower nominal weight is the priority. Equation Soft is the more relevant comparison if you want the Equation's softer core response and can comfortably handle its specified range.

The useful question is what you want your next racket to do differently. If your current racket feels too heavy in quick exchanges, inspect unit weight and balance. If your complaint is contact feel, compare the response rather than assuming a lighter model solves it. These are separate decisions.

Check the setup before buying

A 360–375 g specification covers a range of units, not a promise that the racket delivered will weigh 360 g. Ask the retailer about selection if weight is important to you. Add your normal grip and any protection before comparing the finished setup.

For an adjustable AT10, change one thing at a time. Record the setup you preferred so you can repeat it. Extra weights are an option to investigate, not a requirement to use every accessory supplied.

Check the exact year, variant and retailer listing before paying. A genuine older model can remain worth considering at the right price. A discount on a different model should not be mistaken for a better offer on the racket you researched.

Frequently asked questions

Which NOX racket is a useful starting point for beginners?

X-Hero 2026 is our first lower-weight option here. Its specified range is 350–360 g with a round head and soft feel. Compare the other recreational models if you prefer their exact setup.

Is the standard AT10 Genius 18K Alum 2026 diamond-shaped?

No. NOX lists the standard 2026 model as teardrop. The 2026 AT10 Genius Attack 18K Alum is diamond-shaped.

Is Equation Soft the same as Equation Hard?

No. They use different core versions and have different listed weight ranges. Choose by the contact you prefer and check the complete model name.

Does more K mean a better racket?

No. It does not provide a universal ranking of performance or suitability. Compare the complete construction and the response you want.

Does Control mean a NOX racket suits beginners?

No. The round ML10 Ventus and VK10 Ventus models in this catalogue target more experienced players. Shape and naming do not replace a fit assessment.

Why does a retailer button sometimes say View?

A valid product listing can remain useful when there is no confirmed current purchase offer. Check availability with the retailer; we do not quote an old price as if it were current.

How we chose

The PadelFormat editorial team selected distinct playing needs rather than filling every slot with an AT10 variant. Official specifications establish product facts; our recommendations interpret those facts for a particular buyer. Review and forum checks also exposed naming and generation confusion, so we excluded observations that could not be tied reliably to the exact model. Prices and stock do not decide the shortlist order.

Use the racket chooser to compare NOX with other brands. The full racket database lets you filter a wider range, while the budget guide helps if price is your main constraint.
