HEAD Coello Pro (2026)

Editorial assessment · 2026 model

The Coello Pro 2026 makes sense for an experienced attacker who already likes a substantial, head-heavy racket. HEAD lists 370 g and a 272 mm balance, with a diamond head, Carbon Hybrid face and Power Foam. The feel is classified as hard. We would choose it over Motion only if the extra weight suits your preparation and the response you want on attacking shots.

Best for
Experienced attackers who prefer a heavier racket and can prepare it reliably under pressure.
Main trade-off
More weight than Motion may suit your overheads, but it also gives you more racket to move in a fast exchange.

Our assessment

Pro or Motion?

Start with how much racket you want to move. Pro is listed at 370 g and 272 mm; Motion is 360 g and 268 mm. Both use Carbon Hybrid and Power Foam, and both are classified as hard.

Try them on defensive blocks and repeated volleys as well as overheads. If Pro takes longer to prepare than you can manage, try Motion. If you prefer Pro's weight throughout a rally, there is a clear reason to choose it.

Consider an alternative if: You want a soft contact or find a heavy racket difficult to position during defence.

Strengths

  • Its 370 g nominal weight offers more mass than the 360 g Motion.
  • The 272 mm balance suits a preference for weight towards the head.
  • Extreme Spin adds surface texture; Soft Cap+ provides a replaceable wrist cord.

Drawbacks

  • It is the heavier choice in a Pro-versus-Motion comparison.
  • The hard feel is a poor match if you want a soft response on ordinary rallies.

FAQ

How does Coello Pro differ from Coello Motion?
Pro is nominally 10 g heavier and has a 4 mm higher published balance: 370 g and 272 mm, compared with Motion's 360 g and 268 mm. Both have a diamond head, Carbon Hybrid face, Power Foam and a hard feel classification. Start with Motion if you want less weight; try Pro if you already prefer more mass through your attacking shots.
Is Coello Pro suitable for an intermediate player?
It can suit an experienced intermediate who already handles a heavy, head-heavy racket well. It would not be our default choice for someone still developing reliable preparation. Motion offers a lower nominal weight; Team is the comparison to make if you want a softer feel.
