FLYTEFOAM is the midsole foam here. It does not make this a maximum-cushioning shoe or establish that it feels softer than every Dedicate model. Try the feel under your forefoot as well as your heel.
When trying it on, check the collar during a shallow lunge and the upper during sideways steps. A comfortable first impression matters, but the foot also needs to stay in place when you change direction.
